Background:  Cheryl Hucks, Cheryl Hucks Interior Design

A designer for more than 20 years, Cheryl Hucks has always been known for creating interiors that strike a balance between elegant and inviting.  She works with client’s lifestyles, tastes, and budgets, helping them express their personalities through both large and small details of their homes.  Cheryl Hucks Interior Designs is all about timeless sophistication.  She listens carefully to your desires, collaborating closely with you to create interior spaces that match your unique vision and suit your personal and professional style.

Cheryl is a lifetime resident of High Point, NC and a graduate of the University of North Carolina – Greensboro.  She grew up watching her mother decorate their home and as an adult, Cheryl developed her own design aesthetic through European travel, exposure to the High Point Furniture Market, and designing interiors of her own homes.  In 2006, Cheryl decided to live out her passion, founding Casual Elegance by Cheryl to inspire her clients to “define their style and refine their taste.”  Under that company name – Casual Elegance by Cheryl – her work was featured in both Guilford Magazine and Greensboro’s News and Record.  More recently her rooms have been profiled numerous times on AvaLiving.com.  Active on social media platforms, Cheryl also writes the blog “Design Interpreter.”  Cheryl contributed her time and effort to the Barnabas Network and Habitat for Humanity.  Among other activities, Cheryl was instrumental in the 2011 Festive Tables dinner and auction and the 2012 Chic Chateau Designer Showcase House, both benefiting Habitat for Humanity.
