DarLinda Finch, a single mother of a teen son, has been with the Small Business Center at Guilford Technical Community College since November, 2002. Prior to GTCC, she spent 3 years at the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce where she did administrative work for Small Business Development, Government Affairs and Marketing. DarLinda was also an adjunct instructor for GTCC SBC, teaching computer classes before coming on board full-time. Her father owned his own business for several years, where she took care of all the day to day business from accounting to promoting, until he retired and sold out in 2003. DarLinda is a graduate of Other Voices, a Greensboro Chamber Diversity Leadership program, which she now serves as Board Chair of the Advisory Board. She served 3 years on the GTCC Diversity Committee, chairing the last 2 years. She is also a certified Diversity Facilitator. DarLinda was nominated for Greensboro Chamber of Commerce Small Business Advocate of the Year in 2009. DarLinda is the 2012 Sweetheart of the Triad. DarLinda comes to us from Nebraska where she held her cosmetology license.
Our regular Weekly meetings are scheduled on Fridays and are structured as follows:7:45 – 8:00 Networking 8:00 – 8:10 President Opens Meeting 8:10 – 8:30 Guest Speaker or Developmental Activity 8:30 – 8:45 Member and Visitor 30-Second Commercials 8:45 – 9:00 Networking 9:00 – Meeting Ends
