“Mirror Mirror on the Wall, I Don’t Feel Fairest After All”

We will be taking a brief look at the differences between the way we view ourselves and how others view us. What lens do we examine ourselves with and how do they develop? How can we begin to adopt a more realistic view and begin expressing our true selves?
Barbara Bartis Vaughan is a Faith-based Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice in Greensboro, NC, where she is a native. She provides services to individuals, couples, and families, working with both adults and children. She specializes in Grief and Loss issues. She is the third of three children born to Stephen and Helen Bartis, both of whom were first generation Greek Americans. Barbara’s claim to fame is that her dad brought pizza to Greensboro in the late 40’s. He had a Greek Italian Restaurant in the Airport there. She grew up in the house in which she now lives with her husband and two teenage children, Zack 18, and Zoe 16. Her husband is an Associate Professor and Neurobiology Researcher at Wake Forest.
